PuzPuz Postcard and The Canadian Crossword planned for November 1
PuzPuz Media plans to launch its iOS and Android puzzle app and a 15 × 15 crossword series for publishers on November 1, 2026.
PETERBOROUGH, Ontario, September 16, 2026 — PuzPuz Media today announced plans to launch PuzPuz Postcard, a Canadian puzzle app for iOS and Android, on November 1, 2026. The company also plans to introduce The Canadian Crossword, a themed 15 × 15 series publishing six days a week. It joins the weekly 21 × 21 BIG Canadian Crossword and weekday Mini Crossword Connection.
The expansion will give newspapers, magazines and digital publications more Canadian puzzles to choose from. PuzPuz Media combines puzzle creation and editing with production support, helping publishers offer regular puzzle content without maintaining an in-house puzzle department.
“Canadian publishers are working with limited resources, but their readers still want a reason to return every day,” said Daniel Taro, founder and CEO of PuzPuz Media. “We built PuzPuz to make high-quality puzzle content practical for publishers and recognizably Canadian for the people solving it.”
The Canadian Crossword will feature a rotating roster of Canadian constructors on Saturdays. Its clues will follow PuzPuz editorial standards for Canadian spelling, references and representation. The series complements BIG Canadian Crossword, Mini Crossword Connection, Word Snoop, Sudoku and Calcudoku.
PuzPuz Postcard is being developed around a postal theme, with daily puzzles and illustrated stamps to collect. Planned features include multiple crossword views, text-to-speech, enlarged clues and an option to print puzzles for offline play.
PuzPuz traces its roots to a family puzzle business started in 2009. Taro assumed responsibility for its weekly production after his father’s death in 2019 and has maintained every weekly deadline since. PuzPuz Media was federally incorporated on July 1, 2026, to expand its publishing and technology work.
“This launch carries my father’s work forward while opening a new chapter,” Taro said. “Our goal is to give Canadian publishers dependable content, create paid opportunities for Canadian constructors and build a welcoming place where people can enjoy puzzles every day.”
